Who and What Are Real Vampires
By VictorianRose
In this day and age there is so much hype about vampires. Movies, books, even music. But who are they? What are vampires really about? Are they real or just a myth from centuries past and stereotypes built up from hollywood to expand our imaginations. People have been fascinated by vampires since the dawn of time. Wether they have been called vampires or something else in the past, humans have always been intrigued by the mysterious and dark culture of the ones they now call vampires. Why are humans so fascinated by vampires? Is it the mystery? The darness? Or even the glamour and sexiness about them? Since the beginning people have always been afraid of what they don't understand. There is so much in this world that people cannot explain but yet they are interested in learning the truth so I hope this article can clarify and help others understand who we "vampires" really are. Yes..I am what humans call a "vampire" and I do need blood to help keep me healthy but I am not in the sense that humans have been taught to believe. I was born with the vampire DNA and awakened when I was alot older. For me, being a vampire is a way of life, it is who I am. In this article I will explain about who we are and the reality of our kind.
Vampires are not your stereotypical monster that Hollywood would portray us to be. Real vampires can eat garlic, do not burst into flames when we go into the sunlight, they have reflections when looking into a mirrow, holy water does not make them burn, they do not sleep in caskets, they can enter your home wether you invite them in or not, and they can die just like a human can. Although vampires are much stronger than humans they can get sick but it's their highly developed immune system that helps them heal faster than most normal people. There are different types of vampires that will be discussed in a different article but just to name a few there are Sanguarians, Psychic or Energy vampires, and the ones they call "Immortals". Vampires of different kinds, not all but most, (at least the ones I've met) have special gifts. Now most humans can have these same gifts if they practice them but vampires tend to have them stronger and more accute. These "Powers" as humans call them or gifts as I like to call them are as such:
Telepathy
Empathy
Psychic
Clairvoyancy
These are just a few gifts that vampires may have. Some others may include Astral Travel, Dream Maniupulation and even Animal Spirits. Each vampire is different and unique as humans are different. Some other traits that vampires may have is strength and speed. Vampires are humans with a special nutritional diet is all they are. They are not monsters, they do not creep into your room at night while you sleep and suck your blood. Unfortunately, Hollywood has given vampires some bad press and yes...Vampires are real. While we would rather not be called "Vampires" it is the only name that humans have learned to associate with us.
Vampires live just like normal humans do. They have lives, families, friends, and bills just like normal people. You may not even know who a vampire is unless they let you know. It could be your next door neigbor, your teacher, the teller at the bank, a politician, a mason. Vampires are in all walks of life and the stereotype of vampires being rich is just not true. Not to say that some aren't but not all are.. Vampires have bills and hard times just as normal humans do.
I can't say for sure when vampires came about...I don't think anyone does...but what I can tell you from research that I have done is that they have been here since the beginning of time and in every area of the globe. While their names have been different the stories and they myths are the same. But we are not a myth...we are real. Some vampires have a hard time grasping their new life when they awaken and it is our responsibility to help those of our own kind cope and live a good and healthy life for as long as they live. Most vampires don't get the help they need in order to grow which is why we are here. I hope that this article has shed some light on the true vampires in the world.
